General Layout
The general layout of the elite section is similar to the free
website, with a number of noticable differences. Two small frames have
been inserted above the index and the main frame, one offers you feedback
on actions such as adding and removing items to your buddylist, the other
allows you to navigate the elite specific portion of the site.
All the links in the secondary navigation bar at the top of the screen
are 'active' and lead to pages with additional functionality.
Like in all the other pages whenever you see a thumbnail a click
on it will open that users campage in a new window.
The Index Frame
The index has been expanded to include a little '+' sign near every
camera image, if you click on the '+' sign the cam will be added
to your buddy list (click on the 'buddylist' tab to get an update
of which of your buddy cams is online right now). Also, you have 12
cameras per index page.
Feedback frame
The feedback frame shows you feedback on tasks that you have just ordered,
database changes or other things that need a message to be brought back to
you. It is situated right above the tabs and normally shows you your account
status.
Home Tab
The home tab is the entry point to the elite section, this is where we
leave important messages, you should check it periodically to see if
there is anything of interest, it also gives access to your homepage
editor and contains a permanent link to your homepage.
The home tab also allows you to customize the behaviour of some of the
facilities offered in the elite section of the website.
The buddylist behaviour entry lets you customize whether the buddylist
should have all of the cams that you selected on it or just those that
are online. We advise you to leave it set to 'only cams that are online'
unless you want to clean up your buddylist to remove cams that you are
no longer interested in.
The search tab behaviour entry allows you to also search through the
'unmonitored' cams on camarades. Please note that some of these cams
may contain content that could be construed as 'offensive', we try to
keep the website clean of such cams and whenever we find them we remove
them to this section.
Buddylist Tab
The buddylist tab is one of the most important features of the elite
section, it allows you to see which cameras that you have placed on
your buddylist through the '+' signs in the index or the 'add to buddylist'
links on the search page are currently online. Like that you don't have
to go through hundreds of cameras or bookmarks to get an idea of which
of the cams you like are online. You can remove a cam from your buddylist
by clicking the 'remove from buddylist' link next to the cam image.
Search Tab
The search tab allows you to search through the online cameras. If you have
opted to do so on the profile section on the Home tab then the search will check all of the
online cameras, also the unmonitored ones. Please be advised that we do
not encourage you to select this option unless you are of a seriously open
minded disposition :) By default the search page will list all of the cams
that are online right now that you have not yet placed on your ignorelist.
By adding a camera to your ignorelist you ensure that it will no longer
be displayed in any subsequent searches. You may enter a keyword in the
'search' box at the top right hand corner of the search page, this will
be used to scan such fields as camera name, nickname, country etc. All
matching cams not on your ignorelist will be displayed in batches of 12.
Click on the 'next page' link at the bottom of the search list to go to
the next batch of 12 cams that satisfy your search criteria.
Help Tab
That's the one you're on now. This tab attempts to explain all of the features
in the new section of the site. Pages that are common between elite
and the free version are documented elsewhere.
Account status
By default both the 'Home' tab and the 'feedback' frame contain an
entry that reports your accounts status. The first 10 days that you
are signed up for this part of the service are absolutely free. After
that you will have to pay, if you decide that you want to pay you
can use the "Go to Credit Card form" button on the home tab, which
will take you to OPS. As your trial nears completion
you will see a counter that goes down from 10 days initially to 0
and then the door will be closed until you pay. While your account
is not paid up your buddylist and other settings will remain archived,
so no need to be afraid we'll wipe your account.
Cancellation
If you are using "Virtual Access" then please use their customer support
site to process your cancellation. At signup time you have received
an email that has all the relevant details.
If you are using another way of paying and wish to cancel your subscription send an email requesting to do
so from the email address you signed up with to
elite@ww.com and we will mark your account as cancelled.
Your account will remain valid until the end of the current billing cycle, so
you continue to have access for the time that you have paid.
