WILDLIFE REHABILITATION CENTER

The Critter on Cam is a Morning dove. He/she is about 3 weeks old and has to be hand fed. The morning dove will be released to the wild when it is ready. The dove was orphaned during the recent afternoon storm in Florida. Doves are the worst nest builders. When heavy winds come along there nests just fall apart and the babies fall to the ground. It was brought to me by the finders. There are also many other baby birds but I can not get them all on Cam. I hand feed them until they learn to eat on there own. I will teach them to eat on their own since there Mom and Dad can not. It is improtant to stress that allot of times when a baby is on the ground, often the mother is teaching it go ground feed. Before you pick it up, observe for awhile to see if the mother is taking care of it. If you are from the Orlando area and want to adopt the White dove please e-mail me.
